The Prez of Iran has written a letter to the US people, saying the people of both states “were God-fearing, truth-loving and justice-seeking”. He says some stuff I agree with, including that “Only a shift in policy could mend damaged relations and with other states and a bruised global image.”The problem is he calls for changes in the US and the fear of God, but then he persists in seeking a nuclear programme and will not apologize for some of his extreme populist statements made about Israel in the past. Kudos a Foreign Notes, there is an important commentary made on Andrew Wilson’s Ukraine’s Orange Revolution. It provides important reminders of the meaning of the Orange Revolution(OR), despite the serious failures of its political leaders.
Wilson writes, “A self-proclaimed Orange Revolution can be accepted as profoundly revolutionary in several key senses, and I have been happy to use the term.”
