Cleaning
The bits of my dreams I can remember involve cleaning the house of my former landlord and going to a store where I found some obscure Doctor Who stuff.
In my dream, the house of the landlords was bigger, and messy. In real life, my landlords are much neater than I can ever hope to be.
I went around picking up towels and dirty laundry, and told my landlord I was done, waking her up in her bedroom.
Then I realize I’m not done, looking at the bedroom. I keep picking up stuff in there, and then she watches, as I’m in the bathroom. The toilet is disgusting. As I scrub it, the brown stuff caked on at the bottom of the bowl is thick, and comes off almost without effort. I want to throw up, but she is watching.
This dream might be just some way of paying me back for the messiness of my former house. But my toilet was never like that, and my house, for that matter, was never like that either.
I also dreamed about this store where I was browsing, and I found some Doctor Who books. A store clerk comes over to help me. Normally, I just get annoyed and tell them I’m just looking, but I instead ask if he can find me any more Doctor Who items. Not knowing exactly what Doctor Who is, he looks on the computer, and comes back with a handful of things, including a very flimsy square meant for a computer, sort of like a scratch off lottery ticket on a piece of mylar. He wants to know what my system requirements are. I take it from him, marring it a bit, and look to see what they are. I laugh and say my computer could kick the ass of the system requirements for this device.
The guy throws this one away because it’s been handled too much, and says he will give me another. I protest a bit, but he says their are several of them, and they’re meant to be loaded, and then discarded, anyway.
He’s also found me some books in bad condition, some with the outside of the spines falling off, reminding me of books I have on my own shelf.
He leaves me to my devices, and I wander around, looking for other obscure books. I find one on Sarah Jane Smith in Victorian England (Sarah Jane Smith being a character from Doctor Who).
As I get ready to pay, the guy wants to know where the game is, and I say he never gave me another one. He starts to argue with me.
Anyway, that’s pretty much all I remember.
