For the last two nights, I’ve been dreaming about designing pages, and how I have huge holes to fill, but no copy, and it’s way past deadline.
I hate those sort of dreams. I haven’t had page dreams in a while, but I usually have them when I’m stressed, or haven’t had enough sleep, or something. [...]

The internet and e-mail is back up. I felt like a smoker going off nicotine. Just as I was getting ready to do my normal routine of checking e-mail and blogs and generally goof off this morning, my connection went down. And the cable was down, which is presumably why my internet was down.

…see you down in Arizona bay.
Took a trip to Los Angeles Sunday. A whirlwind short tour. A happy, warm, breathless tour. Whisked to a trendy, we-have-attitude sort of organic cafe. Spent $11 just on a fancy grilled cheese sandwich.

I look down, and it’s someone I’d hoped never to see again.
Kelly. A [...]

Awhile ago, someone at work asked me and another nonnative whether we had noticed the unusual proliferation of donut shops in Fresno.
Until she pointed it out, I hadn’t. But I think the verdict is finally in. Yes.
Never seen so many donut shops all in one place. But man, does Fresno know donuts. Or maybe it’s [...]

Took a trip up the foothills and mountains, near the entrance of Sequoia National Park Sunday. For about half of the trip, it was cold and gray, a little depressing. The distant mountains were disappointingly hard to see.
Lake Kaweah. During a sunny time.
The fog and clouds lifted like a veil once we got to [...]
