Wish you were here
Went for a drive to Kings Canyon today to see some sequoias, the giant, awe-inspiring trees. It had to be an abbreviated drive; it takes an hour and a half to drive about 60 miles. We basically stopped and looked at some trees and went right back down the mountain.
Anyway, I wanted to let everyone know they can now start laughing at me some more. It is 94 degrees right now. It was nice and reasonably warm up in the mountains, with vestiges of snow here and there where the sun doesn’t shine. Warm enough to stay in my tank top.
And now the AC is on. Didn’t take long to crack, did it. And now all the long-time Fresnans will be sure to laugh because it didn’t take that long. Or maybe they’re smarter and already had the air on.
I think I might waddle down to the pool. And post pictures of the trip later.
I wish I had a pool to waddle to. I wish I had the warm temperatures! The temp has dropped here in Washington, every day this week getting colder and colder. It’s probably only in the fifties outside right now.
But at least Charlotte’s gone, right?
And I’ll split the difference with you on the temperatures so we can both have nice weather.
Actually, it’s cooled off quite a bit now that it’s evening, so I turned off the AC. Being the miserly sort, I didn’t want to run it more than I have to.
And the pool was lovely.
