Photos
I’ve broken down and decided to join Flickr. I’ll probably start posting more of my photos there. But there’s a limit to how much I can upload per month. I think that means breaking down and paying for the pro account. We’ll see. For right now, it’s somewhat of a new toy to accompany the new camera.
There’s a way to add a Flickr badge to my blog (so my most recent photos would show up in a neat little gewgaw in a sidebar), but I’m probably gonna need some tech help with that. Not begging here, just stating a fact. But going to try to figure it out for myself first.
As a side note, notice how easy it is to become a member of so many different groups and sites? I can be really excited about a place and its message boards, and then move on to the next big thing. I find that I rarely have the attention span to devote to more than one or two.
Oh, and let me know if anybody wants to be added as a flickr friend or family so if I decide to limit access to some of my photos, you’ll still have access. Meaning anybody who loves me on sodsbrood enough to post on a regular basis.
I think this involves emailing through through their server and getting you a login. Might not be worth the effort.
Sign me up, Mel. I love your photography!
Not worth the effort? Come on. I would appreciate unfettered access to your pics.
I can go ahead and do that soon, then. But right now, I’m experimenting with putting a creative commons license on my pictures which just requires attribution. (And to sods brooders, you don’t even have to do that, but don’t tell anyone I said that.) … There are probably much better photographers than me to steal from anyway.
I really like the picture of Ziggy!
Thanks.
Cats are fun to photograph.
More pictures posted on Flickr, too. But will do a blog entry here as well.
I completely agree about the groups and sites. Maybe the “next big thing” will be a site allowing a given user access to all her/his accounts/sites/groups/messages via one username/password.
“Bridge graffiti” is striking, especially the movement of the street juxtaposed with the way the sign tagged with graffiti stops the eye.
I think this flickr thing is very cool , as are your pictures. Let Matt or me know if you want help with the sidebar. That would be a nice addition…
I love your pictures! And I definitely want access to all. The sand castle ones are my favorites here…
