I’m hestitant to suggest this, in case someone takes me seriously but …
I’m surprised companies haven’t started charging employees for doodling during pointless meetings. I mean, we’re wasting precious ink on precious paper. Not to mention productive employee time.

That would definitely be a great moneymaker. However, the argument could be made that doodling actually saves the company money since often, it is doodling that keeps people awake during these boring meetings. What would a supervisor rather have: an employee who wastes ink and paper doodling, or an employee who nods off, thereby costing the company in supposed productivity?
