I feel your pain. I have become such a slug since going back to the night shift. I enjoy my sleep too much.
I entertain thoughts of school, but my study habits would be horrible. Buying a house is more of a priority than
school, but you already have be beat on that one. It’s probably wise to explore the online world. It’s important
to the Eagle, but they don’t pound it down our throats like they did at the Tribune. Then again, I don’t think our
circulation is hurting as much. Sometimes it’s better being part of a bigger company.
Good luck with your class. I’m sure you will leave it wiser and more marketable.

Rachel, you’re a busy woman. I can see where it’d be really hard. I don’t have any kids or any excuses, so it just boils down to sleep.

I’m taking a multimedia class. It’s going to involve stuff like videos, podcasts, web stuff, etc. All sorts of stuff that would help me sell myself for an interactive newsroom or perhaps in other directions.

i wanna go back to school. to do what? i don’t know. i have a few ideas. but i just can’t fit it into my schedule right now. not even one little class. and i’d never complete an online course. not in a million years. not unless i did it while at work (gasp!) since that’s the only place i have any sort of down time to sit in front of a computer. what kinds of courses are you taking? are you looking to switch careers?
