But I don’t want to go to school…
Yes, I do. Sorta.
It’s been a blissful month off and class starts back up tomorrow.
And it also occurs to me that I never really gave an update about how my first college class in years went.
It went fine.
I learned a lot but it’s never enough. The classes I really want to take this semester are offered at night.
When I worked days, the best classes were available only during the day. Now that I work nights, the best classes are available at night. I will never win.
I think if I want to continue along the path I’m interested in exploring, I’m going to have to suck it up and take some online classes. I’m a little nervous that I won’t have enough drive to push myself.
The class I start early tomorrow is not exactly what I want to take, but it’ll keep my feet wet. And perhaps expose me to other opportunities I didn’t think about.
9 a.m. is a bit early for me, though. I’ve enjoyed sleeping in and goofing off and playing my game. Back to work. Back to school.
i wanna go back to school. to do what? i don’t know. i have a few ideas. but i just can’t fit it into my schedule right now. not even one little class. and i’d never complete an online course. not in a million years. not unless i did it while at work (gasp!) since that’s the only place i have any sort of down time to sit in front of a computer. what kinds of courses are you taking? are you looking to switch careers?
Oh, you’ll get used to it in no time. Maybe you’ll even like being up that early.

Rachel, you’re a busy woman. I can see where it’d be really hard. I don’t have any kids or any excuses, so it just boils down to sleep.
I’m taking a multimedia class. It’s going to involve stuff like videos, podcasts, web stuff, etc. All sorts of stuff that would help me sell myself for an interactive newsroom or perhaps in other directions.
I’m so out of the loop these days I’d nearly forgotten you were taking classes. Sigh…

school, but you already have be beat on that one.

circulation is hurting as much. Sometimes it’s better being part of a bigger company.
