Extra day

It’s Feb. 29, the day that comes every four years.
I’m always entertained by this alleged extra day, though it really means nothing.
Now, it’d be really something if it could be a universal holiday. Nobody has to work on Feb. 29 simply because it’s the free imaginary day. How does that sound?
It’d be worse than Christmas, say, when few stores are open. You’d have to plan your day to already have enough gas and food. But think about just spending your extra day for yourself.
No job. No worries. No money. Just contemplation.
It’s going to get close to 70 today, and I have the day off anyway. I think I need to go on a drive.

Sounds like a good idea to me. The one day everyone has off work, regardless of circumstances. Mandatory holiday.
