The other thing about bagels is even when they're sliced, they're not always cut all the way through, so I end up breaking a lot of bagels that way. And then you sorta have to piece them together in the toaster and hope they don't burn or fall. And that you can get the broken bits out without electrocuting yourself. Unplug the toaster, you say? That is for wimps! Yeah, I agree on the English muffins front. They are annoying to cut.
