		<description>Well, I know you told me that about Dell, but when I looked at what I thought was needed in the laptop and weighed that against cost, I had to go with the Toshiba. However, I haven't actually looked to see if Toshiba will let you crack the case; all the paperwork remains untouched. I know HP is really crappy in that regard though.</description>

		<description>well i hate to give dell free publicity, but, you can open their cases without voiding the warranty. i put in a graphics card the next day and a second hard drive within a week. :)

		<description>I didn't make that clear? The laptop came with 3 GB of RAM, so there was no need to crack it open. When helping other people select electronics, I don't immediately help them void their warranties.  

I did void my warranty as soon as I got home with my desktop last year, because I needed to install the wireless card and then a couple weeks later, the graphics card.</description>
