Tidbits

  • Did you know that you can buy a remote-control mouse for your cats? It will set you back about $15. I suspect that the owner of such a thing will probably derive more satisfaction out of such a device, for all of 15 minutes. That’s $1 a minute. After that, the novelty wears off. I settled for a $4 wind-up toy, which disappointly doesn’t run as far as you would think, but is probably still worth the same amount of time. My cats loved it, but it’s like winding up a cheap toy car, you rev it up and it goes. And it went. Including under the couch, the graveyard of all the cats’ favorite toys.
  • Data is back on the kitty laxative. Had to buy him more. Now comes in tuna flavor, but I decided to get the regular because I know he likes it.
  • It’s October, and I spotted two pairs of UGGs within 10 minutes of each other. Sometimes I hate Fresno. Hey, it’s still hot, stupid bleach-blonde skinny morons! And those boots are still ugly! Ugly for UGGs, get it? Sigh. Not very funny, I know.
  • Target is a wonderful place, and it also is evil. I really hate their mediocre and miniscule alleged plus-size section. When it is time for clearance, all the clearance clothes from skinny chicks crowd out the two racks of ugly plus-size clothes. Target, when are you going to realize that it just makes the fat chicks mad when you a) don’t have any cute clothes b) put them right next to the maternity clothes, so sometimes when we see something that might actually be cute, it turns out to have an expandable waist band and c) crowd in the two racks of clothes so close that shoppers can’t actually get their carts through, let alone squeeze their fat asses through. Try treating those fucking skinny chicks like that for a change. I’m tired of you and your cute clothes that I can’t fit.
  • At least I could find more knee-high socks this season. Target has a better selection that most. The problem is I’m taller than most women, so their knee-high socks don’t really come up to my knees. But the solution might be in the alleged above-the-knee socks I bought. I can’t wait to try them out, but I think it’s still officially too warm for me to forsake sandals for socks and shoes. My favorite knee-high socks tend to be argyle. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough argyle and anyway, I have enough argyle. Didn’t stop me from buying one pair. I love crazy socks, and the best thing is that nobody can see them but me.
  • Pizza Hut, or at least the Pizza Hut Express at Target, now serves a couple of slightly swankier choices in personal pan. I chose buffalo chicken. It was disappointing, but I knew it would be. Just had to get it out of the way, to make sure. Everything is better spicy, at least.
  • Don’t you hate it when you have new clothes to wear, but it’s still not time to wear them? I’m dying to wear a couple of new sweaters, plus my new socks. Well, it’s cold in the office, always, so I guess it’s never too soon.

Your pizza is way better than anything Pizza Slut can come up with. Mmmm, pineapple and pepperoni…
