Updates

One of my four faithful readers has told me I need to update my blog. Who am I to disappoint my readers, even if that one reader lives in the same house as me?
The move went fine. Despite all my moaning about how it would never get done, it somehow did. It always does. I [...]

Getting rid of stuff

I’m moving in a handful of days, and over the last few weeks, I’ve been getting rid of stuff via craigslist.
It amazes me how stupid people are on craigslist. I also have a sneaking suspicion that it’s a doorway to spammers, judging by some of the people who are supposedly responding to my ads.

Happy whatever

I generally don’t like this time of year because of all the ads for Mother’s Day. Show your love by buying your mom expensive things. I keep getting e-mails from Apple telling me that the perfect thing for Mom would be an iSomething. In this economy, who can afford to buy their mom an expensive [...]

Options

Today, I helped a friend buy an iPhone. She’s unabashedly one of the least computer-skilled people I know, which is amazing, because we’re almost the same age.  I showed her how to use her iPhone even though I don’t have one, told her which one to buy (can never go wrong with more memory) explained [...]
