Heh heh. I am in no way bothered by whatever my cats do. Just as I can’t smell it, if I can’t see it, it doesn’t bother me. I know they are doing plenty of things they shouldn’t when I can’t see them. They’re like naughty children.
Heather likes to point out when she finds fur on the counter. I think she takes pleasure in pointing out their naughtiness, in the same way I used to take pleasure in ratting out my stepbrother.

I have no qualms with Bruce sitting on one end of the table while we eat our meal, though Todd has of late taken issue with this, probably since I pointed out the hair and flea dirt that had accumulated on the table during our week-long absence. And I don’t mind him drinking out of my cereal bowl, eating off my plate, etc., though I do not eat after him.

And I believe it is true that cats mouths are pretty clean. I seem to recall reading that they have some sort of antibacterial agents in their saliva that aid in their cleanliness.

You know what’s the most sanitary of all?

Blankets.

And in addition to letting you eat in peace, they also don’t leave furry forensic evidence all over the counters.

They do smell. But luckily you just have to throw them in the washer. Try doing that to a cat. Mel? Please?

You and me brother, in the same boat. I share food with the cats, except for when I get a whiff of their breath. If I can’t smell it, it doesn’t smell.
